Ja tällaisen minä siitä rakensin. Talon pohjalevy on 52x55 cm, talon alakerta on 13 cm korkea ja katon korkeus 8 cm. Valkoiset koristelaudat talon seinissä leikkasin kartongista kuviosaksilla ja maalasin valkoisiksi.

This is how the model I built looks like. The bottom of the building is 52x55 cm, the downstairs height is 13 cm and the roof 8 cm.

On the front the chamber windows

Pieni lapio ulko-oven vieressä on Lego-lapio. Ulko-oven yläpuolella olevassa ikkunassa ei ole "lasia", jotta siitä voi työntää sormensa kun nostaa katto-osan pois.

Syreenit ovat yhdistelmä Tarja S:n värjäämää jäkälää ja Doloresista tilattua Flower Soft-rouhetta.

The lilac is made of dried and colored lichen (by a miniature friend) and Flower Soft.

Talon nurkalla on kivi (anoppi on poiminut kiven Laatokan rannalta ja isommasta kivestä lohkaistiin tämä pala), jonka päällä lahjansaajan isä soitti viulua (Doloresista).

Father of my mother-in-law's cousin, who will receive this house as his 60th anniversary, used to play violin on the big stone beside the house. This particular stone my mother-in-law has brought from the shores of Lake Ladoga, close to the original house. A small part of the stone was cut for this project. The violin I have bought.

Talon yksi seinä (tupa-kammari) puuttuu, jotta sitä kautta voi katsella huoneita. Kuistin huoneet näkee vasta kun nostaa katto-osan pois.

One wall of the house is completely missing to enable the watching of the two big rooms. The porch rooms can be seen only when the roof is lifted off.

Tästä talosta minä "joudun" luopumaan puolentoista viikon kuluttua. Mutta niinhän alkuperäinen talokin menetettiin. Kirjaan, jonka talosta tein, tallensin kuvien lisäksi Karjalaisten laulun, Evakon laulun ja Laps' olen köyhän kauniin Karjalan - laulun sanat, muutamia nettikuvia Impilahdelta ja lähialueen karttoja, talon omistajapariskunnan muotokuvat ja vähän anopin antamia henkilötietoja.

This house I will need to give away less than two weeks from now. But that's what happened with the original house as well, it had to be left. I made a book from the house through a photo company (Ifolor) with images of the house, words of some famous Karelian songs, some images from Impilahti, maps, the photos of the owners with some family records. Hopefully the company will get the book ready by the birthday.

Tässä vähän MAINOStusta: Haluaisitko itsellesi tällaisen pienoismallin? Tätä oli ihana tehdä, vähäisistä tiedoista huolimatta, ja kernaasti tekisin tällaisia lisää. Unelma on tietysti elättää itsensä tällaisella rakentamisella.

I still want to say this: would you like to have a miniature model like this? I loved building this inspite of the lack of information and I would love to make new models. My dream is to support my living by building this kind of miniature models.
